Intelligent Steering
Steering of Roaming is a framework that allows a mobile operator to manage and distribute the registration traffic of their outbound roamers. To do this, tenant network can specify roaming steering policies for each network using this module. This functionality enables platform to choose which network subscribers will utilize while roaming and provides a roaming management solution to optimize roaming cooperation between operators, and it allows flexible network selection management for outbound roamers. Tenant operator can place the regulations based on the desire to benefit from lucrative inter-operator rates, to carry out bilateral agreements with partners, or to offer subscribers high-quality communication services. Steering of roaming platform receives MAP signaling stream, analyzes registration requests as they occur to determine if they are on a preferred network or not, and assesses business rules to decide whether to apply "traffic redirection" or not.Platform supports Diameter sniffing, SIGTRAN - Map Sniffing, Diameter Steering and SIGTRAN - MAP steering. OTA (Over the Air) Steering is also backed up within platform.Error codes can be configured separately for UL, GPRS UL and Diameter UL.
